TIGERVILLE, S.C. -- Mackenzie Chrapliwy had 16 kills and Cassidy Bonito added 45 assists but it was not enough as North Greenville handed Belmont Abbey a 3-2 (24-26, 20-25, 25-19, 25-18, 15-12) loss Friday night in women's volleyball action. The heartbreaking loss to the top team in the South Division ended a four-game winning streak for the Crusaders.
Bonito also added 13 kills and a hitting percentage of .367 for her third straight double-double. Sarah Kenney led the defensive effort with 32 digs.
Belmont Abbey (13-9, 7-4) took the first two sets but were unable to close out North Greenville, which improved to 16-9, 10-4 with the victory.
The regular-season road schedule comes to a close Saturday at Southern Wesleyan. The match is scheduled to begin at 12 noon.
