Women's Volleyball Swept At Limestone, 3-0

The Belmont Abbey women's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 loss at Limestone this evening on the penultimate day of the regular season. Set scores were 16-25, 24-26 and 20-25. The Saints improve to 14-15 overall and 12-3 in Conference Carolinas, while the Abbey drops to 13-15 overall and 9-6 in league play.

Belmont Abbey will close out the regular season Saturday with a pair of matches, starting at noon against Converse and again at 2:00 vs. Georgia Regents, which will be played at Converse.

In her first match in two weeks, junior outside hitter Hannah Schellenberg recorded a team-best 11 kills. She was the only Crusader to reach double figures.

Gabby Martinez handed out 24 assists with Deidre Rodriguez and Kennedy Haupt adding one each. Martinez, Haupt, Schellenberg and McKenna Murphy each had one service ace.

Defensively, Tabitha Sims led the way with 14 digs. Martinez added nine and Schellenberg recorded eight. Coreen Norwood logged one solo block.
