Set scores were 25-20, 25-23 and 25-17. The Abbey improves to 18-3 overall and 11-1 in Conference Carolinas, while Erskine drops to 7-13 overall and 6-7 in league play.
After an easy first set victory, the Crusaders had to win the last three points to pull out a 25-23 win. Erskine led 23-22 on a Caitlin Bullock kill, but the Fleet did not score again as the Abbey claimed the last three points of the stanza on kills from Tori Jensen and Caitlin Hankins. An Erskine attack error ended the set and gave the Crusaders a 2-0 lead.
Belmont Abbey never trailed in the third set as the advantage grew to as high as 11-6 before Erskine called a timeout. The Fleet won the next two points and would eventually close the Abbey's lead to 15-13, but the Abbey won the next seven points to pull away with a 22-13 lead and would close the match on a Dani Fortunato kill to seal the 3-0 win.
