BELMONT, N.C. - The Belmont Abbey women's tennis team competed in a number of tournaments this fall season beginning with .a 5-2 win at Bluefield State. Laura Seib, Carlie Davis, Morgan Nguyen, and Erica Dorn all won their singles matches in straight sets, and the doubles teams of McNamara/Semaan, Dorn/Boatright, Smith/Heim all won close matches to clinch the doubles point. The women fell in the second part of the double-header in a competitive match to the University of Charleston 6-1. Freshman Carlie Davis won the lone singles match against the University of Charleston in straight sets.
- Wingate- Carlie Davis and Laura Seib both won tough matches in their first college tournament in the Flight B Singles. Morgan Nguyen and Morgan Zahnd went undefeated in their doubles flight together as well.
- Palmetto Tennis Center Invitational- Freshman Talia Semaan beat 2017 First Team All-Conference selection Vanessa Sanoja from Barton in three sets in the first round of the A Flight Singles. Freshman Carlie Davis also won a competitive match against North Greenville in the Flight A Singles.
- Belmont Abbey Invitational- Blair Boatright defeated Klara Vuckovic of Carson Newman in three sets at the #2 singles flight, and Morgan Zahnd and Blair Boatright also beat their opponents from North Carolina Wesleyan in the #2 doubles flight.
