Women's Golf in Tenth Place At Barton Invite

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – The Belmont Abbey women's golf team sits in tenth place after the first day of the Barton Invite at Kiawah Island. The tournament is being played at the Oak Point Golf Club, with a par 72. Belmont Abbey ended the first day of competition with a team score of 338 which is +50. The leader, Wingate, is +25 with a 313.

Jenna Nagy, who has two birdies, shot an 84, +11 as did Haley Helton. Jamie Treece recorded 11 pars on her way to securing an 85, +13, matching teammate Lizzie Hordes.

Rounding up the team score was Kaitlyn Gribbon, shooting an 86, which is +14.

Taylor Cozart, who is competing as an individual shot a +13, 85.

Day two of the Barton Invite continues tomorrow with an 8 A.M. shotgun start.
