Women's Golf Third after Day One of Cutter Creek Invitational

SNOW HILL, N.C. -- Jenna Nagy and Taylor Cozart each shot 78s on Monday, helping the Belmont Abbey women's golf team to third place at the halfway point of the 2017 Cutter Creek Invitational. The tournament is the first action of the season for the Crusaders.

The duo sits tied for ninth place in the individual standings, six shots off the lead of Mount Olive's Linn Bergman. As a team, The Abbey tallied a score of 322, trailing Limestone by 23 shots

Haley Helton is tied for 18th at 81, while Kaitlyn Gribbon and Jamie Treece are tied for 27th at 85.

The final round will be played Tuesday at the Cutter Creek Golf Club.
