Gribbon Third, Crusaders Fifth at Conference Carolinas Championship

SNOW HILL, N.C. -- Kaitlyn Gribbon battled tough weather conditions over the last two days, but still managed a third-place finish at the 2017 Conference Carolinas Women's Golf Championship at Cutter Creek Country Club. The junior posted a second-round score of 77 to finish at four-over 148.

As a team, Belmont Abbey was fifth overall with a score of 633 (310-323). Monday's second round was suspended by weather, then move overnight storms forced a delay on Tuesday, cutting the event from 54 to 36 holes. King University captured the title with a score of 606, three strokes better than Limestone. Golfers from King and Pfeiffer tied for medalist honors.

Haley Helton tied for seventh after shooting her second straight 76 (152), while Anne Parlmer tied for 23rd at 159 (80-79). Taylor Cozart finished in a tie for 44th with a score of 174 (83-91) with Autumn Senter placing 48th at 177 (86-91).
