SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- For the second straight day, Belmont Abbey recorded a team score of 338, but climbed two spots to finish 12th at the Converse Spring Invitational. Haley Helton led the Crusaders with a score of 78 to place tied for 12th (79-78=157).
Anne Parlmer also cut a stroke off yesterday's round, carding an 87 to tie for 65th (88-87=175). Taylor Cozart tied for 73rd, improving eight strokes from her first round (93-85=178), while Jamie Treece trimmed nine strokes to place 81st (97-88=185)
Kaitlyn Gribbon, who entered the second round tied for eighth after an opening day 78, had to withdraw during the second round due to injury.
Converse's A team won the overall title with a 627, while the Valkries' Marley Felthousen 73-76 to take medalist honors.
