Limestone Women Extend Lead After Day Two of Conference Carolinas Golf Championship

GREENSBORO, NC - The Limestone Women's Golf team shaved four strokes off of their day one number to grow their lead over second place Converse College to 11 shots in the 2nd round of the Conference Carolinas Golf Championship played at Bryan Park in Greensboro.

Taylor McInnis moved to the top of the individual leaderboard with an even par 72 on Monday to take a one stroke lead into the final round, passing Conference Carolinas Golfer of the Year Krysta Schaus of Erskine.  Schaus carded a 76 to fall back into second place.

Meghan Holbrooks had the low round of the day with a 2-under 70 to tie for third with Limestone's Sydney Landreth. Amanda Floberg of Pfeiffer and Marley Felthousen of Converse rounds out the Top Five on the leaderboard.

The effort from Holbrooks and Floberg allows Pfeiffer to move up two spots to third in the team standings, while Mount Olive and King jockey for position in the middle of the pack.

Action concludes tomorrow on hole #10 at 8am, on the Champioms course at Bryan Park.
