Women's Golf Tied for 13th at Agnes McAmis Memorial

GREENVILLE, TN- The Belmont Abbey Women's Golf team carded an opening round of 358, and is in a tie for 13th place at the 2016 Agnes McAmis Memorial. The tournament was hosted by Tusculum College and is being contested at the 5,807-yard par 72, Link Hills Country Club in Greeneville, TN.

Sophomore Kaitlyn Gribbon led the Crusaders in the first round with a 9-over-par 81.

Three players share the individual lead after 18 holes of play. Elizabeth Engalnd from Carson Newman, Ciara Rattana from Tusculum and Elizabeth Swallow from King University, each carded 4-over-par 76's

Lincoln Memorial leads the event half-way through with a 311 score. The Railsplitters hold a nine stroke lead over King and Tusculum who are tied at second at 320. Newberry is fourth at 321, followed by Carson Newman in fifth at 324.

The final round of the tournament is Tuesday morning starting at 9:00 am.
