WOMEN'S GOLF OPENS KIAWAH ISLAND INVITATIONAL WITH 332

KIAWAH ISLAND, SC- The Belmont Abbey Women's Golf Team fired a 332 to sit alone at 13th place after the first round of the Kiawah Island / Tusculum College Invitational being held at the Cougar Point Club at Kiawah Island.

Sophomore Katie Gribbon is alone in fourth place after carding a three-over-par 75. Gribbon is two strokes off the individual lead held by Pamela Mosley of Armstrong State.

Junior Anne Parlmer is tied for 38th after carding an 82, while Sophomore Haley Helton is in a tie for 44th with an 83. Sarah King recorded a 92, while Jamie Treece posted a 97.

The final round of the 36-hole event concludes tomorrow in the South Carolina Low Country.
