Women's Golf Opens With 346 To Sit In Third After Opening Round Of Pfeiffer Invitational

The Belmont Abbey women's golf team fired a 346 to sit alone in third out of four teams after the opening round of the Pfeiffer Invitational. The 36 hole event is staged at the Tillery Tradition in Mt. Gilead, North Carolina.

Sophomore Kaitlyn Gribbon is alone in fourth, three shots out of the lead, after carding a 77. Haley Helton is tied for tenth with an 86, while Anne Parlmer opened with a 90, which is tied for 14th.

Sarah King is alone in 16th with a 93 and Jamie Treece holds 18th alone with a 97.

Belmont Abbey trails Sandhills College by one shot. Pfeiffer is the overnight leader with a 318.

The final round begins tomorrow.
