Women's Golf Closes With 343, Finishes Eighth At Cherokee Valley Invitational

The Belmont Abbey women's golf team finished eighth out of nine teams at the Cherokee Valley Intercollegiate, hosted by North Greenville in Travelers Rest, South Carolina.

Belmont Abbey began the day in ninth after firing an opening round 350. Today, the Crusaders posted a 343 to move up one spot.

Freshman Kaitlyn Gribbon began the day alone in 30th with an 86 but shaved three strokes off of yesterday's score to post an 83 and finish 24th. Sarah King was one shot back of her as she opened with an 87 and closed with an 83 to move from a tie for 31st into 25th alone.

Anne Parlmer moved from 35th to 31st as she opened with a 90 and closed with an 85, while Hayley Helton carded scores of 87-92 to finish tied for 33rd after beginning the day tied for 31st. 

Deanna Young closed with a 94 after opening with a 92 as she finished alone in 38th.
