Women's Golf Alone In 12th After Opening Round Of Kiawah Island Intercollegiate

The Belmont Abbey women's golf team opened the spring season with a 331 to sit in 12th place out of 15 teams at the Kiawah Island Intercollegiate, hosted by Tusculum at the Cougar Point Golf Club.

Freshman Lauren Brychell led the Abbey with a seven over 79 as she is tied for 25th. Kaitlyn Gribbon and Anne Parlmer are both three shots back as they stand in a tie for 45th.

Sarah King opened with an 88 to sit in a tie for 67th and Haley Helton is alone in 77th with a round of 93.

The final round gets underway tomorrow morning.
