Women's Golf Fires Season Best Round Of 326 To Finish 15th At Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate

The Belmont Abbey women's golf team carded a season-low 326 to finish 15th out of 20 teams at the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate on the Reese Jones Course at the Sea Trail Resort in Sunset Beach, North Carolina.

Belmont Abbey's round of 326 is two shots better than the opening round of the Etowah Intercollegiate on September 22, which was then the lowest round since 2010.

Four of the five Crusaders in the team portion-not counting the three individuals-carded lower scores than yesterday's opening round.

Sophomore Mia Baringer shaved one shot off of yesterday's 80 as she finished tied for 41st. The biggest move of the day came from freshman Kaitlyn Gribbon, who closed with an 80 after yesterday's 87. She finished tied for 67th.

Sarah King's final round 83 was three shots better than yesterday as she finished tied for 70th. Haley Helton closed with an 84 after opening with a 90 to finish tied for 81st, and Lauren Brychell fired a 91 today after opening with an 88 to finish tied for 90th.

Among the three individuals, Deanna Young made the biggest move, as she capped off the 36 hole event with a 90 after opening with a 101 to finish alone in 99th. Anne Parlmer posted rounds of 84-89 to finish tied for 79th and Bryce Huntoon closed with an 88 after posting an opening round 93 to finish tied for 92nd.
