Women's Golf Finishes Seventh At King Invitational

The Belmont Abbey women's golf team closed with a 345 on the final day to finish seventh at the King Invitational, which was held at the Bristol Country Club in Bristol, Tennessee.

The Crusaders opened with a 330 yesterday to sit alone in fifth, but a 345 today saw the Abbey finish seventh.

Sophomore Mia Baringer began the day tied for sixth with a 78. She closed with an 86 to finish in a tie for 14th. Freshman Lauren Brychell opened with an 82 and carded an 86 today as she ended up in a tie for 21st.

Haley Helton fired an opening round 83 and today's round was five shots higher as she finished tied for 26th. Kaitlyn Gribbon shaved one stroke off of yesterday's 87 to finish alone in 28th.

The big mover of the day was Anne Parlmer, who opened with a 105 but was 18 shots better today as her 87 gave her sole possession of 38th.

Sarah King, competing as an individual, carded rounds of 89-86 to finish tied for 30th.
