DAHLONEGA, GA - The Belmont Abbey Crusaders travelled to North Georgia on Wednesday, losing the doubleheader by scores of 8-0 and 3-0.
Courtney Poole picked up her 37th win of the year, tossing a one hitter against the Abbey. The no hit bid was halted in the fourth as Sloane McPeak singled to record the lone hit on the day.
The Nighthawks scored seven times in the first two frames to separate themselves from the Abbey.
In game two, the Abbey managed only two hits from Alexis Pereiro and Mackenzie Dziendziel. North Georgia plated a single run in the second as Katie Block in the fifth, the Nighthawks scored two more times to generate the final margin.
The Crusaders will travel to Spartanburg Saturday to battle the Converse Valkyries in a Conference Carolinas doubleheader.
