Crusader Men Finished Seventh at Gene Mullin Invitational

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Belmont Abbey turned in a solid team effort with all five runners scoring within 12 spots, helping the Crusaders to a seventh-place standing at the Gene Mullin Invitational, hosted by Furman University.

Thomas Eichorn finished 39th overall with a time of 17:17.0, while Sam Lynch was three spots behind in 17:23.7. Daniel Grosch placed 44th overall with a time of 17:29.9 with Edward Genao in 50th (17:51.6). Rory Witkowski rounded out the scoring in 53rd, running the 5k race in 17:59.4.

Dominic Forget (59th/18:26.5) and Justin Haggerty (68th/19:00.3) served as placeholders in the team standings, while Darvy Soignet also competed, finishing 72nd (19:51.9). The meet wrapped up the regular season for the Crusaders. They host the Conference Carolinas Championship in Concord, N.C. on October 20.
