Including the 3 new school records, the Men totaled 8 career bests at the Conference Championships.  The Team finished in 5th place with a total of 48 points and Mt Olive was the runaway champion scoring 172 points and North Greenville runner-up with 129 points.

Coach Mike De Witt commented on the Championship Meet:  "The Men did an excellent job across the team at this meet, scoring in 9 events out of the 13 we entered, taking advantage of every opportunity to earn a maximum place in each event.  Our Team Goal was to break 50 points, which we just missed, but it wasn't for our missing chances to grab spots, the meet offered a strong level of competition this year, with eliminating qualifying rounds in the middle distances, and the weather was better than it has been in the past two seasons.  Most every athlete competed at their best ever and we had a great energy throughout the meet.  Our team has done a great job over the past 6 weeks of our 'quick' outdoor season.  We have had a lot of fun competing and improving during that time."
