Men's Tennis Falls to Lenoir-Rhyne, 6-3 at Home

BELMONT, NC- Lenoir-Rhyne claimed four of six victories in singles matches, as the Bears defeated Belmont Abbey, 6-3, Saturday afternoon at the Michael Reidy Tennis Center in Belmont. The Crusaders are now 1-4 overall, while Lenoir-Rhyne improves to 2-3 overall.

In doubles' action, the freshmen tandem of Grant Golden and Young-Jin Kang, cruised to an 8-2 victory against Tomas Hons  and Matthew Ledford in #2 doubles flight.

The Abbey recorded singles' victories at the #3 and #4 flights. Sophomore James Delaney claimed a come-from-behind three set victory over Sean O'Dea. Delaney dropped the opening set 4-6, while claiming easy victories in sets 2 and 3, winning both at 6-1. Kang completed a 2-0, day by earning a 6-2, 6-4 win over Alex Crespo.

The Crusaders return to action on Friday, February 26 for a Carolinas Conference match at Mount Olive. First serve is at 2 p.m. from Mount Olive, NC.
