Three Crusaders Named All-American

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association announced its All-American selections today.  Three Belmont Abbey players were All-American honors.

At attack, senior and Conference Carolinas Co-Offensive Player of the Year Liam Osborne was named to the Second Team.  Osborne scored 61 goals on the season, placing him in the nation's top five, while his 95 points are the fourth-highest in the country.  It is his second year in a row of being named All-American.  Osborne has been selected to compete in the annual North-South All-Star game in Sparks, Md. on Friday.

At defense, senior Anthony Cesario was selected to the second team.  Cesario caused 21 turnovers this season, fifth-best in Conference Carolinas.  He caused seven in the team's two games of the Conference Carolinas Tournament, against Mount Olive and Limestone.  This marks Cesario's third straight year as an All-American.

At midfield, junior Collin Grippo was a third team selection.  Grippo scored 26 goals on the year, and handed out nine assists, for a total of 35 points.
