HIGH POINT, N.C. - The Conference Carolinas office announced the All-Conference selections and Major Award winners this afternoon.
Senior attacker Liam Osborne was named the Conference Carolinas Co-Offensive Player of the Year, in addition to making the All-Conference Carolinas First Team. Osborne has accumulated 85 points this season, the highest total in the nation. He has also scored 54 goals this season, a conference-high and tied for third in the nation. He has also handed out 31 assists, which is second-best in the conference. He scored a season-high seven goals and nine points on April 6 against Chowan. This year marks Osborne's second in a row receiving the Co-Offensive Player of the Year award.
Attacker Noah Haas has been named the Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year, in addition to the All-Conference Carolinas First Team. Haas has scored 43 goals on the season, good enough for a top five spot in the conference. He has tallied 55 points, which put him in the conference's top eight, and third among freshmen. Haas scored a season-high seven goals against then #12-ranked Lenoir-Rhyne.
Senior defender Anthony Cesario has been named to the All-Conference Carolinas First Team for the third year in a row. Cesario has caused 14 turnovers on the year, and picked up 28 ground balls. He has been the leader of a defensive unit that is third in the conference in shots-against per game (34.4 and in goals-against per game (9.73).
Junior midfielders Collin Grippo and Sean Hanrahan, as well as sophomore defender Brody Munro were named to the All-Conference Carolinas Second Team. Grippo and Hanrahan have each scored 21 goals and caused seven turnovers this season. Hanrahan's 19 assists are third-most on the team. Munro has caused 13 turnovers this year, placing him in the conference's top 20.
