Men's Golf Tied for Third After 18 Holes of Conference Carolinas Championship

First-Round Results

SNOW HILL, N.C. -- Levi Kettelhut posted a season-best 73 Sunday to lead Belmont Abbey to a tie for third after the first round of the 2017 Conference Carolinas Men;s Golf Championship. The Crusaders posted a team score of 305, eight strokes off the pace set by Limestone and just two strokes behind Barton. Mount Olive also carded a 305.

Kettlehut is two strokes behind the individual leader, Will Woodard of Limestone. Nick Stafford is tied for fifth at 74, while Michael Mead is tied for 25th with a 78. Jacob Scruggs is tied for 36th at 80, while John Molyneaux rounded out the scoring at 82, tied for 40th.

The second round will be played on Tuesday.
