Stafford Shoots Even Par Tuesday To Claim Medalist Honors

FLEMING ISLAND, Fla. -- Junior Nick Stafford shot even-par 71 Tuesday to maintain his lead and claim medalist honors at the 2017 Spring Kickoff Intercollegate Golf Tournament. The Belmont native posted a 54-hole score of 208 (73-64-71), four strokes better than Palm Beach Atlantic's Siyan David Liu.

As a team, the 22nd-ranked Crusaders held onto fourth, adding a 294 over the final 18 holes for a total of 885. They were five strokes better than 12th-ranked Lander. Lincoln Memorial won the team title at 13-over 865.

Levi Kettelhut tied for 16th overall at 220 (74-74-72), while Jacob Scruggs shot his third straight 76 (228/t39). John Molyneaux tied for 54th at 234 (84-73-77), while Maurzio Debono rounded out the scoring with a 236 (t59th/81-80-75).

Landon Isaacs tied for 44th as an individual. He shot 230 (79-81-70) during the event.
