Men’s Golf in Sixth Place After 36 Holes at the Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate

FLEMING ISLAND, FL- The Belmont Abbey Men's Golf team fired rounds of 287 and 296 and is alone in sixth place after 36 holes of 2016 Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate. The tournament is hosted by Lincoln Memorial University and is being held at the 6,677-yard par 71 Golf Club at Fleming Island Plantation.

Sophomore Nick Stafford (67-72) is in a tie for fifth place overall with a score of 139. Stafford's opening round 67, ties his career-low round.

Tyler Satorius is in a tie for 30st after carding rounds of 73 and 75. Connor Rinoski (74-75) is one stroke back at 149.

Both Michael Mead at Levi Kettelhut are tied at 47th place at 151. Freshman Chris Kopack, who is competing in the tournament as an individual, posted rounds of 81 and 75.

The Crusaders are 11 strokes off the lead held by Armstrong State. Carson Newman and Palm Beach Atlantic are tied at second at 575, followed by North Greenville in fourth at 578 and Lander in fifth at 582.
