Men's Golf Alone In 13th After 36 Holes Of Columbus State Invitational

The Belmont Abbey men's golf team carded rounds of 299 and 294 after one day and 36 holes of the Columbus State Invitational, hosted by Columbus State University and presented by Aflac. The Crusaders are alone in 13th out of 16 teams. Par is 71. The field, one of the strongest in the fall nationally, features eight teams ranked in the top 25, including three in the top 15.

Three of five players fared better in the afternoon round, with another matching the score of his morning round.

Sophomore Michael Mead is tied for 18th after carding a 76 in the morning, but rallying with a three under 68 in the afternoon. Nick Stafford is two shots back with scores of 74 and 72. He is tied for 28th.

Connor Rinoski shot an even par 71 in the morning but fell to a 76 in the afternoon as he is tied for 35th. John Molyneaux finished with an aggregate of 156, posting identical scores of 78.

Tyler Satorius scored an 80 in his morning round and was one shot better in the afternoon. He is alone in 86th.
