The Belmont Abbey men's golf team finished 12th at the Kiawah Island Intercollegiate, a 54 hole event staged the past two days at the Kiawah Island Ocean Course and hosted by Newberry College.
Only one of the two scheduled rounds for Monday was completed, so the field wrapped up the second round early this morning before completing the final 18 holes this afternoon.
Belmont Abbey bettered its score each round, as the Crusaders opened with a 323, posted a 322 second round and closed with a 313.
Tyler Satorius led the Crusaders with a tie for 17th place finish, as he bookended scores of 78 around a second round 76. Cameron Buist carded rounds of 81, 79 and 73 as he finished in a tie for 21st.
Nick Stafford ended up in a tie for 43rd with scores of 77, 81, 82. Michael Mead and Cameron Mitro both finished in a tie for 79th. Mead posted rounds of 87, 86 and 82, while Mitro finished with scores of 89, 86 and 80.
