Cycling Competes at First Road National Championship

MESA, Colo. -- The Belmont Abbey Cycling team competed at its first-ever USA Cycling National Road Championship over the weekend, battling the altitude of the Rockies and a crash-filled series of races.

In the team time trial, the Crusaders finished 12th overall, while Trey Hedgecock placed 13th in the Criterium. Keith Mullaly and Hedgecock competed in the road race but did not finish.

The event concluded the inaugural 2016-17 collegiate schedule for Belmont Abbey.
