Women's Tennis Opens Conference Play With 7-2 Win Over Erskine

BELMONT, N.C. - Teagan McNamara got a comeback win at #1 singles and teamed up with Riley Ellingson for a #1 doubles win, and the Crusaders opened up conference play with a 7-2 win over Erskine College.  The win moves The Abbey to 4-4 on the season.  The Flying Fleet are now 3-6 overall, and 3-3 in Conference Carolinas play.

Erica Dorn and Erika Noblett earned an 8-0 win at #3 doubles to help the Crusaders go 2-1 in doubles play.

In singles competition, Noblett had the quickest match, earning a 6-1, 6-0 win at #6 singles.  Alex Weber, playing at #5 singles, also had a convincing 6-4, 6-2 victory.

Belmont Abbey will next play on March 10 in Hilton Head, S.C., where it will face Northwood and Michigan Tech.
