MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- Freshman Jenna Nagy fired a 78 for the second straight day, leading Belmont Abbey to a 10th-place finish at the 2017 Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate Golf Tournament. The Crusaders posted a score of 641 (315-326), 30 strokes behind team champion Wingate. They were just three strokes behind Conference Carolinas rival Mount Olive, while finishing ahead of Barton and Southern Wesleyan.
Nagy tied for 18th overall with a two-day score of 156, while Kaitlyn Gribbon tied for 23rd stroke behind (76-81). Haley Helton tied for 40th at 161 (79-82) with Taylor Cozart finishing in a tie for 64th (85-85). Jamie Treece rounded out the team effort with a score of 173 (82-91/t69th).
Belmont Abbey wraps up the fall season next week at the Patsy Rendleman Invitational in Salisbury, N.C.
