SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Kaitlyn Gribbon shot a 79 on Tuesday, but still finished in a tie for second place at the 2017 Converse College Invitational. She earned all-tournament honors after totaling 154, seven shots behind medalist Meghan Holbrooks of Pfeiffer.
As a team, the Crusaders finished third with a 36-hole score of 645 (329-316). Coker (631) won the tournament by one stroke over host Converse (632)
Haley Helton placed ninth with a score of 158 (81-77/+14), while Jenna Nagy tied for 17th at 165 (88-77/+21). Taylor Cozart tied for 21st with a score of 168 (85-83/+24) with Jamie Treece rounding out the scoring with a 175 (91-84/+31).
Belmont Abbey returns to action Oct. 2-3 at the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate.
