Men's Indoor Track & Field Competes On Opening Day Of Camel City Invitational

The Belmont Abbey men's indoor track and field team posted solid performances on the opening day of the Camel City Invitational at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

 

In the 60 meters, Matthew Difrancesco broke school record with a mark of 7.24. Tarik Amon and Darius Gardner finished 81st and 82nd, respectively, with times of 7.46 and 7.48.

Michael Koceja turned in another strong performance in the 400 meters, speeding to 18th at 51:28 with Zachary Melvin finishing 70th at 54.06.

In the middle distances, three Crusaders ran the 800 with E.J. Cerdeiras finishing 50th at 2:03.56, Connor Buhrmeister 51st at 2:03.83 and Patrick Lester 55th at 2:04.40.

The final day of the Camel City Invitational gets underway tomorrow, which will be a star studded field that includes Elite Athletes, Olympians and National Champions.
