Men's Tennis Falls at Home to Young Harris, 7-2

BELMONT, NC- Young Harris claimed all six victories in singles matches, as the 39th-Ranked Mountain Lions defeated Belmont Abbey, 7-2, Friday afternoon at the Michael Reidy Tennis Center in Belmont. The Crusaders are now 1-2 overall, while Young Harris improves to 1-1 overall.

Belmont Abbey claimed two of the three doubles matches, as Juan Baez and James Delaney earned a strong 8-1 win in the top flight. In flight two, Young-Jin Kang and Grant Goldin added an 8-5 win to give the Crusaders a 2-1 lead entering the six singles matches.

In singles play, both Baez and Delaney lost hard fought singles matches. At #1 singles, Baez lost to Brecht Vangrinsven 6-3, 7-5, while Delaney lost his match in three sets to Alejandro Ridruejo  6-4, 2-6, 10-6.

The Crusaders return to action on Thursday, February 18 against Augusta University at the Michael Reidy Tennis Center. Match time is 12:00PM.
