Men's Soccer Falls At Nationally Second-Ranked Pfeiffer, 5-0

The Belmont Abbey men's soccer team suffered a 5-0 loss at the nationally second-ranked Pfeiffer University Falcons this evening in a Conference Carolinas matchup. Pfeiffer moves to 11-0-0 overall and 6-0-0 in league play, while Belmont Abbey drops to 1-8-1 overall and 0-4-1 in Conference Carolinas.

Belmont Abbey returns home Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. to host Barton.

Pfeiffer netted two goals in the first half and added three more in the second as the Falcons outshot the Crusaders 22-5 and attempted seven corner kicks to just one for the Crusaders.

Luke Whelan made four saves in the net as he played the first 57:29. Wes Holifield tended goal the final 32:31.
