Lees-McRae netted the only goal it would need in the 30th minute, as Jacob Copeland beat Luke Whelan for his first goal of the year. Thomas Deeley was credited with the assist.
The lead grew to 2-0 in the 47th minute as Deeley added a goal to go with his earlier assist, converting a bicycle kick goal off of a pass from Nathan Watt.
The final goal came in the 72nd minute as Copeland scored again, racing behind the Crusaders defense and recording his second goal of the year to close the scoring.
Lees-McRae outshot the Abbey 13-3. Belmont Abbey attempted four corner kicks to just one for the hosts.
The Crusaders are back in action Saturday night at 7:00 as they go on the road to face the nationally second ranked Pfeiffer Falcons.
