Dandanell Scores In Men's Soccer's 4-1 Road Loss To Fourth-Ranked Limestone

Belmont Abbey sophomore forward Mark Dandanell scored the only Crusader goal in the 83rd minute as the men's soccer team lost 4-1 at the nationally fourth-ranked Limestone Saints this evening. Limestone remains unbeaten at 6-0-0 overall and 2-0-0 in league play. Belmont Abbey slips to 1-3-2 overall and 0-1 in Conference Carolinas.

The Saints led 1-0 at the half on the strength of Sam Orritt's header in the 22nd minute. Limestone added three more in a ten minute span midway through the second half to build a 4-0 lead.

Dandanell put the Crusaders on the board in the 83rd minute as he connected on a header off of a cross for his first goal of the year and the third of his career.

Limestone outshot the Abbey 17-5 and attempted six corner kicks to three for Belmont Abbey.
