Crusaders Tied Fifth after Day Two of Conference Championship

SNOW HILL, N.C. – The Belmont Abbey men's golf team has climbed up two spots are now tied for fifth place in the Conference Carolinas Men's Golf Championship. After a first round 296, The Crusaders shot a 302 now just 19 strokes behind the leader North Greenville.

Nick Stafford captured the best second round for The Abbey with a 73 moving him to a tie for fourth. Levi Kettlehut's 78 moves him to a tie for 14th and Maurizio DeBono's 76 changes his position to 22nd. Michael Mead shot a 75 in the second round, good enough to be tied in 35th position, and Chris Kopack's 81 gives him 35th place.

The Final round of the Conference Carolinas golf Championship at Cutter Creek Golf Club will take place Tuesday.
