Shayla Jackson Selected To Attend NCAA Career In Sports Forum

Belmont Abbey women's basketball forward Shayla Jackson has been selected to attend the NCAA Career In Sports Forum, which will take place May 11-14, 2010, at the Downtown Marriott in Indianapolis, Indiana. Jackson Scores 1,000th Career Point As Women's Basketball Falls To Second Seed Anderson 78-70 In Tournament Semifinal

Belmont Abbey senior guard Courtney Naquin led all scorers with 21 points, and junior forward Shayla Jackson scored 18, surpassing 1,000 for her career, but the sixth-seeded Crusaders women's basketball team was eliminated from the Conference Carolinas Tournament with a 78-70 semifinal loss at Anderson this evening. The Abbey ends its season with a record of 18-11, while Anderson, which will host the tournament championship game Saturday evening, moves to 19-10.... (more)
