March 3, 2010 2010 Crusader Soccer Day Camps Announced!“Developing today’s players for tomorrow’s Game” Day Camps are designed around the concept of learning the game of soccer and having fun doing it. These half day camps are designed for players ages 6 through 14 and will teach the fundamentals of soccer through various technical activities (shooting and finishing, passing, receiving and dribbling, and goalkeeping) as well as small sided games with a strong emphasis on 1v1, 1v2, 2v4 and 4v4. All of which will take place in a fun, active environment run by Belmont Abbey Men’s Soccer Head Coach Stuart Brown, Men’s Assistant Coach Seth Lowther and Head Women’s Soccer Coach Robert Lane. Current and past Belmont Abbey College players will be involved as well. Registration Form Summer Camp Directors: Stuart Brown, Seth Lowther, and Robert Lane Day Camp held from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at BAC Campus Spring Break Day Camp – Belmont Abbey College Campus – April 5-8 - $75 The Day Camp will focus on proper training methods for players of all abilities with a concentration on the basic technical elements in the game. Top coaches work with players to improve all facets of the game, striving to provide a better understanding of the game, allowing players to become the best they can be. Skills Camp – June 14-17 - $100 The Skills Camp focuses on proper training methods for players of all abilities with a concentration the basic technical elements in the game. Top coaches work with players to improve all facets of the game, striving to provide a better understanding of the game, allowing players to become the best they can be. Shooting and Saving Camp – June 21-24 - $100 The Shooting and Saving Camp is dedicated to goalkeeper training and goal scoring for field players. Training will involve specific goalkeeper training along with exercises designed to create and finish scoring chances. A perfect chance to improve on two of the most difficult skills of soccer, goal scoring and goal saving!! Elite Camp – July 19–22 - $100 The Elite Camp focuses on the overall development of the advanced players. This camp is geared toward players with a focus on getting to the next level and being the best players they can be. The curriculum is designed to improve the technical, tactical, physical, and psychological levels in an intense environment with directions from some of the state’s top coaches. Player Requirements Each player is required to bring proper equipment including: Shin guards, Cleats, Soccer ball, Water bottle, Snacks, etc. Each player will be provided with a BAC soccer Academy T-shirt at registration. Please give the player’s t-shirt size on the registration form. Unfortunately, we cannot honor requests for individual session dates or requests for refunds on missed session dates. Abbey Soccer Academy dates cancelled due to weather will be made up to the best of our ability.
