(more) December 3, 2008 ~ Basketball (M) Men's Basketball Receiving Votes In National Top 25 Coaches PollThe Belmont Abbey men's basketball team, which has matched its best start in five years at 5-0, is receiving votes in the latest national top 25 poll conducted by the National Association of Basketball Coaches, which was released today. The Abbey is 5-0 overall and 2-0 in Conference Carolinas as it received five votes in this week's poll. The last Abbey team to start 5-0 was in 2003 en route to a 24-7 record.... (more) December 2, 2008 ~ Soccer (W) Amanda Maddock Named Third-Team All-American By DaktronicsBelmont Abbey junior defender Amanda Maddock was named to the Daktronics third-team All-American squad this afternoon. The team is voted on by the members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Maddock was the only player from a Conference Carolinas institution represented on the four squads, which included an honorable mention team....
